    Zak Hardaker says he's delighted to have his future sorted after joining Castleford Tigers on loan from Leeds Rhinos for the 2017 season. 

    Castleford can sign the 25-year-old England full-back permanently at the end of his loan spell, for a fee which has already been agreed by both clubs.

    Earlier today police confirmed they had arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of Lindsay's murder.

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Hebden Bridge teenager Lindsay Jo Rimer who disappeared 22 years ago.

    The 63-year-old man was arrested in Bradford this afternoon.

    Her body was found in the Rochdale canal in April 1995, four months after she was last seen alive - buying cornflakes in a local Spar shop. 

    These are her last known movements caught on CCTV.

    A 63-year-old man from Bradford has been arrested over the murder of Hebden Bridge teenager Lindsay Jo Rimer in 1994.

    This afternoon West Yorkshire Police have revealed they have arrested a 63-year-old man over the murder of Lindsay Jo Rimer 22 years ago.

    The man was arrested in Bradford and is currently being questioned by detectives.

    What we know about the Lindsay Jo Rimer murder case  

    • The 13-year-old was last seen in Hebden Bridge on 7 November 1994.  
    • She left home and went to the Trades Club in Holme Street to meet her mother.  
    • She then called in to buy cornflakes at the Spar shop in Crown Street.
    • This would be the last time she was seen alive. 
    • Her body was found five months later in the Rochdale Canal.
    • It had been weighed down with a stone.
    • Her killer has never been found  
    • In April officers said that a new DNA profile had been identified, which would help the investigation.
    • Today a 63-year-old man has been arrested in Bradford.

    More now on the news that a 63-year-old man from Bradford has been arrested this afternoon on suspicion of the murder of Lindsay Jo Rimer in 1994.

    Lindsay disappeared almost exactly 22 years ago and was last seen when she went to buy cornflakes from a shop in Hebden Bridge. 

    Her body was found in April 1995 in the Rochdale Canal.

    Her body, which had been weighed down with a stone, was found a mile upstream from Hebden Bridge town centre.  

    Last week a new appeal was launched to help find her killer and back in April officers announced that a new DNA profile had been identified, which it hoped would lead them to identify the killer.

  14. Cheque processing centres 'set to close'published at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2016

    A cheque handling company is to close seven of its offices, including one in Bradford, with the loss of 600 jobs.

    Intelligent Processing Solutions Ltd (iPSL) says it has made the move because the Cheque and Credit Clearing Company (C&CCC) is to introduce a quicker and easier way of clearing cheques in the UK.

    Images of cheques to be exchanged between banks and building societies will be used instead of moving paper around the country. It said its Bradford site will close during 2018.

    West Yorkshire Police say they're growing increasingly concerned for the teenager and that Paula has contacts in Sheffield. 

  16. Batley man charged with Syria terrorism offencespublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2016

    More on the man who has appeared in court accused of trying to travel to Syria to join so-called Islamic State.

    Ghulam Hussain, 30, from Batley, West Yorkshire, is accused of giving an undercover policeman cash for the trip.

    Mr Hussain, of Track Road, is alleged to have bought a plane ticket to travel to Pakistan later this month and return via Turkey a week later.

    He appeared before Westminster magistrates charged with two offences under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act.

    A man has been left with grazes and bruises after he was robbed by five men, external wearing "V for Vendetta"-style facemasks in Birkenshaw.

    It happened between 21:15 and 21:45 on Monday 31 October when the victim was sat on a bench with two friends next to the entrance of Birkenshaw Bottoms Park.

    The three men were approached, all wearing masks and the victim decided to leave.

    But as he stood up he was attacked, falling to the floor while the assault continued. The victim's mobile phone was stolen. 

    Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
