Work to stop flooding at the current site in Centre Vale Park means it will now be held in Cliviger, near Burnley, in June.

It's the first time in the West Yorkshire show's 103-year history that it will move over the border to Lancashire.

    Quote Message

In 2006 we did have to cancel the show after the restrictions were placed on the use of the park after extensive flood alleviation works, which meant that we couldn't disturb the ground and we would be liable if the ground and the drainage system were damaged. So it left us with very few options. The new site was an absolute lifeline for us.
