Fire has ripped through a Grade II listed building in Huddersfield this afternoon.
No one was injured in the fire, but the blaze has badly damaged the house, which was built around 1550.
The house boasted a range of features that date back hundreds of years, including a staircase from the 1600s and plaster work from the same period.

A family from York have said they are eternally grateful to the ambulance crew who saved their toddler's life after she unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest.
Sixteen-month-old Poppy Palmer was lifeless by the time the first response car arrived, but they were able to resuscitate her.
Today the family were there to see everyone involved as they were recognised for their efforts.

Dozens of children's birthday parties at a football themed play centre near Pontefract are having to be cancelled.

The owners of the A1 Football Factory have been locked out of their building - in a row over rent.
The site has indoor football pitches and a soft play area. But this afternoon the company's posted a message on its Facebook page saying it'll be shut for the "foreseeable future".
The A1 Football Factory say they can't honour a commitment to pay rent three months in advance.

A Penistone sculptress has designed and made a steel sculpture for the Tour de Yorkshire
Suze Crawshaw created the structure on the Penistone One building ahead of the cycle race coming through the town.

A review into neighbourhood policing in South Yorkshire is being launched by the force's new Chief Constable.
Stephen Watson will attend a community meeting in Mexborough tonight to gather views .

It comes after local neighbourhood policing teams were abolished in Doncaster in 2015.
As well as the meeting at Mexborough Library tonight another will be held in Hexthorpe next week.

North Yorkshire firefighters have been trying to rescue a stranded cow.
The helpless heifer got stuck on the banks of the River Ouse near Rawcliffe.
A vet has been working with Malton firefighters to sedate the cow and get it to safety.

Bedale has once again been the target of a group of masked ninja yarn bombers - the practice of reclaiming urban space with a pair of knitting needles.
Residents woke to discover their market town covered in woolly Easter bonnets.
The work of this secret group doesn't seem to have unsettled residents.
In fact it's hoped the woollen decorations will attract visitors to the town and not just those with an eye for interlocked fibre textiles, skillfully crafted into warming headgear.

Talk about a fast response, this fire crew happened to be driving past just after this car crash in Crossland Moor in Huddersfield.

It happened on Park Road just after 14:00.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue officers managed to clear the road after "conveniently driving past" according to PC Charlotte Saville, external.
Luckily no one was injured.
Rotherham police search for man wanted over 'immigration offences'published at 16:38 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

Police in Rotherham are looking for a man wanted in connection with what officers are describing as "Immigration offences".
42 year old Robert Flaczynski may have been in Rotherham at the end of March but the force now believe he could be anywhere in South Yorkshire.
Police say not to approach him but to inform them by calling 101.

Police are appealing for information after a number of cars were damaged.
It's thought the vehicles were deliberately damaged on Middlethorpe Grove in York overnight.
Anyone with information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.

Boy injured after falling from mill roofpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 13 April 2017
A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after falling off the roof of a mill in Holmfirth.

Emergency services were called to Bottoms Mill just before 15:00 today after the boy fell from the roof of the building.
He received chest injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening, and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.

A driver is being criticised on social media for parking a sports car in a Sheffield disabled bay.
The BMW was spotted in the city's Carver Lane car park last night.

The driver left a note explaining that the car's scissor doors wouldn't open in a normal bay:

However, that did not satisfy Jean Proctor who took the photos.
She told the BBC she had been left "extremely angry" by the driver's actions:

As you can see the fire is out and firefighters are now damping down:
We understand that the building is a Grade II listed New House Hall, built in the Elizabethan era.
The fire service say that all the people inside got out okay.

51 year old Paul Brown of Cannon Hall Road in Sheffield has been jailed for 10 months after admitting causing death by careless driving.
