    Northern Powergrid, the firm responsible for power in the area, has managed to restore electricity to some of their affected customers.

    It says it's continuing to work to restore a supply to the remaining customers by about 13:30 this lunchtime:

    More on the news that a 19-year-old Leeds Beckett University student has been named as one of the latest victims of the Manchester Arena attack on Monday.

    Courtney Boyle, 19, was at the concert with her mother's partner Philip Tron, who also died in the suicide attack.

    In a statement, Courtney's mother says: "My stunning, amazing, beautiful daughter, you were my rock.

    "You made me so proud with all you had achieved, and my gorgeous crazy Philip you made my world a happy place.

    She adds: "You are both my angels flying high in the sky."

    Kelly was at the Ariana Grande concert with her sister Claire and 11-year-old niece Hollie when the suicide bombing took place which killed 22 people and left many more injured.

    People across Yorkshire are being invited to take part in a national minute's silence at 11:00 in memory of the victims of the Manchester terror attack on Monday.

    Twenty-two people were killed and 64 injured after a suicide bomber detonated a device at Manchester Arena.

    Among the victims were Wendy Fawell, 50, from Otley, Kelly Brewster, 32, from Sheffield, Marcin and Angelika Klis, from York, and Sorrell Leczkowski, from Leeds.

    Manchester's council has invited people "to pay your respects to those we lost".

    The number of people drowning off the Yorkshire coast has increased.

    Figures released this morning by lifeboat charity the RNLI show 160 people died off the UK coast last year, 11 of them in Yorkshire.

    That's an increase of seven from the previous year.

    The RNLI is reminding people to take extra care this Bank Holiday weekend.

    A Leeds taxi firm is appealing for donation of toys, snacks and sweets that will be taken to the children recovering in Manchester's hospitals after the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.

    Wendy Fawell, a 50-year-old mother from Otley, is the latest person to be named as a victim of the Manchester Arena attack on Monday.

    Wendy had travelled to the venue with her friend Caroline and their children. Caroline was seriously injured by the bomb.

    Wendy's son Adam gave this statement:

    "We're all devastated. Mum was a wonderful woman. She’ll be sadly missed. We'd like to thank everyone for all the effort that went into trying to find her.”

    Family friend Jean Osborne added: "She was the kindest person you’d ever wish to meet. She'd do anything for you. She was an awesome person. She'll be missed by many."

    England's preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy got off to the perfect start after an 72-run victory over South Africa at Headingley.

    Prior to the match, both sides and fans at the Yorkshire ground observed a minute's silence in memory of the victims of Monday's Manchester attacks.

    A 50-year-old mother from West Yorkshire has been confirmed as one of the victims killed in the Manchester terror attack on Monday.

    Wendy Fawell, from Otley, was was last seen in the foyer of Manchester Arena shortly before the blast.

    Her family issued an appeal on social media after she was reported missing asking for sightings of her.

    Last night, her friend Debbie Mcdowel paid tribute to her "best friend" on Facebook.

    She wrote: "I am heartbroken beyond belief. I have lost my best friend and confident."

    A Polish couple who lived in York are now known to have been among those who died in the blast.

    Marcin and Angelika Klis were at the arena to pick up their two daughters following the concert.

    St Barnabas Church, Jubilee Terrace, Leeman, Road, near where the Klis family lived, will be open from 10:30 this morning so people can pay their own tributes.

    Buildings across North Yorkshire are being recognised in the finals of the The Royal Institute of British Architect (RIBA) awards scheme.

    Four buildings in York, from a historic theatre to a redeveloped public toilet site, have been shortlisted.

    The professor who led the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in Rotherham is holding a meeting today to raise awareness of the Truth project.

    The project gives victims and survivors of child sexual abuse the chance to share their experiences and offer suggestions on how to keep safe.

    So far over 700 people have come forward across England and Wales and a report is due to be published in October.

    The grandfather of Sorrell Leczkowski, the Leeds teenager killed in the Manchester bombing, has paid a moving tribute to her.

    Michael Healey says Sorrell wanted to be an architect and study in America.

    In a statement he says: "On Monday my wife Pauline, daughter Samantha and granddaughter Sorrell went to pick up Sophie and Lauren who had gone to Manchester Arena to watch a pop concert.

    "I am absolutely heartbroken to confirm my granddaughter was killed in the terror attack that claimed so many innocent lives.

    "Sorrell was only 14, but she was our rock, she kept us all grounded."
