More on the news that the chief constable of West Yorkshire and the head imam of the Makkah Mosque in Leeds have released a joint statement after the Finsbury Park Mosque terror attack.
Darren Osborne, 47, from Cardiff, was arrested after worshippers appeared to be targeted by a man driving a van near Finsbury Park Mosque early on Monday.
He is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and alleged terror offences.
Dee Collins said: "Naturally, this has raised concerns among our own Muslim communities and we have been providing highly visible reassurance and support".
Imam Qari Asim added: "The increased police patrols we have seen locally have been reassuring, but it is up to us all as individuals and communities to be united in our rejection of extremist views."
