A Hollywood classic is getting a unique screening in Leeds later this month.

Back To The Future is the 1985 sci-fi adventure comedy which starred Michael J Fox.

But it'll always be remembered for the car which was the film's ultimate star.

And the famous DeLorean has been in Leeds today ahead of Opera North's live screening of the movie:

A sneak-in burglar from Rotherham has been sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to four years in jail after being found guilty of breaking into a property in the town last October.

The court heard that Neil Bulcroft, 42, of no fixed address, used an open window to break into a property in Herringthorpe on Friday 28 October 2016.

He stole a haul of items including digital equipment, cash and clothing.

He was arrested in January this year after officers used forensic evidence to link him to the property.

On the final part of his two-day tour of West Yorkshire, Prince Harry has met workers at the Haribo sweet factory in Castleford.

During the visit, Harry was presented with a specially made box of sweets called Harry Mix.

The company's UK works director, Frank Windmann, said he had prepared a very special sweet for the royal:

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses, external after a collision in Sheffield last weekend in which one man died and another man was seriously hurt.

Karl Marsden, 25, suffered fatal injuries in the crash which happened on Station Road, Halfway, at about 23:40 on Saturday 1 July.

Police say they'd like to talk to the drivers or passengers of a white Nissan Juke and a silver hatchback which were travelling in the opposite direction to the black Vauxhall Zafira which crashed into a barrier.

Two men, aged 31 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Train passengers across North, South and West Yorkshire are to be hit by further action by striking union members.

Arriva Rail North staff will walk out for three days from tomorrow.

The RMT union is in dispute with the companies over driver-only-operated trains, which it says would be unsafe and lead to widespread job losses.

Sharon Keith, regional director at Northern, said: "We are doing everything we can to keep our customers on the move during the three days of industrial action affecting our network."

Northern said it expected to run more than 40% of its timetable and it would have additional rail replacement buses.

The first picture of 14-year-old Mylo Johnstone, who died yesterday after falling through the roof of a disused building in Leeds, has been released by police:

Officers believe Mylo, from Bramley, went on to the site on Wyther Lane in Kirkstall with friends last night.

Forensic teams, the Health and Safety Executive and Leeds City Council are now working with detectives to work out what happened.

Tribute messages left at the gates outside the warehouse complex describe Mylo as a "lovely lad" who will be "sorely missed".

Putting up the price of petrol has been suggested by a West Yorkshire Conservative MP as a way of funding a pay increase for public sector workers.

The Prime Minister's ruled out scrapping the 1% cap although some members of her cabinet have suggested it could be lifted.

But speaking on BBC Radio Leeds this afternoon, Elmet and Rothwell MP Alec Shelbrooke has suggested five pence on a litre of petrol as a possible way ahead:

A man's been arrested in Barnsley on suspicion of money laundering offences.

Cash totalling about £5,000 was also seized when police carried out a warrant at a house in Hopwood Street this morning.

The arrested man has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue, police say.

CCTV images have been issued of two men police want to speak to about the theft of two leather jackets.

Officers believe two men entered the Robert Smart Menswear store on Low Petergate In York on Saturday 1 July.

They distracted the shop assistant before leaving the store with the leather jackets, worth £2,098, without making any attempt to pay for them.

John Metcalf, commonly known as Blind Jack Of Knaresborough, constructed roads across the north of England between 1752 and 1791 along with his team of over 400 workers.

Next month marks the 300th anniversary of his birth and now part of the A658 southern bypass has been named John Metcalf Way in recognition of his work.

Flowers have been left near the site in Leeds where a 14-year-old died after falling from a building.

Teenager Mylo Johnstone, from Bramley, fell through the roof of a disused building at Wyther Lane in Kirkstall yesterday.

Forensic teams, the Health and Safety Executive and Leeds City Council are now working with detectives to work out what happened.

The teenager's death follows similar recent incidents in Leeds where two boys were seriously injured in falls at disused buildings.

A 12-year-old boy was seriously hurt at a disused factory in Modder Avenue, Armley, just over two weeks ago.

And a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured at a derelict building in Ninelands Lane, Garforth, in May.
