    A fresh appeal to find a teenager from Doncaster who went missing in 2007 has been made exactly 10 years after he first disappeared.

    Andrew Gosden, 14, left his home in Dalby at about 08:30 on Friday 14 September and was seen heading down Littlemoor Lane, towards Westfield Park.

    About an hour later he took out £200 from his bank account and got on a train bound for Kings Cross where CCTV cameras picked him up leaving the station. He hasn't been seen since.

    Citizens Advice in York says it's struggling to cope with the number of people having problems claiming the new Universal Credit.

    The service is now seeking a further £12,000 from City of York Council to pay for extra help and advice sessions.

    The charity says the new system is confusing and people are having to wait weeks without any benefits while paperwork is processed.

  3. Pupils at Bradford school 'under influence of drugs'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 14 September 2017

    Students at a West Yorkshire school for those excluded from other schools were found by inspectors to be "arriving under the influence of drugs" and rolling cigarettes during lessons.

    The Ummid Independent School, which has two sites in Bradford and one in Halifax, was rated "inadequate" by Ofsted inspectors.

    The report said, external said improvements had to be made "as a matter of urgency".

    The school said it had closed two of its sites and had launched a review.

    In a statement, the school's board of trustees said: "We are very disappointed with the Ofsted judgement but fully accept the findings."

    Sheffield's newest tram-train vehicles have taken to the rails today, but they're currently only operating on the city's tram network.

    They will eventually run services from Sheffield city centre to Rotherham via the rail network.

    Theo the tram-train - yes, they've named it - will pick up passengers at Meadowhall today before entering service operating as a tram.

  5. Landlord in court over boys' fire deaths in Huddersfieldpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 14 September 2017

    A landlord has pleaded not guilty to gross negligence manslaughter over the deaths of two brothers in a house fire in Huddersfield.

    Three-year-old Logan Taylor and his brother Jake, aged two, died in the blaze on Alder Street, Fartown, on 20 February last year.

    Kamal Bains, 50, of Stableford Gardens, Birkby, Huddersfield, appeared at Leeds Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to manslaughter by gross negligence.

    He has been released on bail pending the start of his trial on 2 July.

  6. Immigration raids see seven arrested in Yorkpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 14 September 2017

    Seven people have been arrested by officers investigating slavery and trafficking in York.

    The seven were arrested following raids on the Regency Chinese Restaurant on Barbican Road and the Regency Chinese Restaurant and Supermarket on George Hudson Street last Friday.

    The four men and three women, who are all Chinese, were arrested on suspicions of immigration offences.

    They're being held in custody by Immigration Services.

    Trading Standards, Immigration Services, the Health and Safety Executive and the police visited car washes and restaurants to check that workers were able to work freely and legally.

    Legal papers and living accommodation were also checked.

    One car wash was shut immediately by the Health and Safety Executive and advice was given to another two sites.

  7. Real Junk Food Project anger over 'free food' leafletpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 14 September 2017

    The people behind The Real Junk Food Project in Sheffield have reacted to leaflets claiming they give food away for free.

    Real Junk Food Project organisers say it costs them money to pick up the food in the first place.

    The project was set up to collect surplus food and then offer it to people on a pay-as-much-as-you-feel basis.

    But now they say they're "furious" that someone's handing out the leaflets claiming free food's on offer:

  8. CCTV released of masked robbers who targeted Leeds bankpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 14 September 2017

    Three armed and masked men robbed a bank in Leeds yesterday.

    Police have released these pictures from the scene.

    It happened just after 12:40 at Lloyds Bank on Queen Street, Morley, when the men wearing white masks and armed with an axe and a "long-barrelled" gun went into the bank and threatened the staff.

    The gang left with a quantity of cash and got into a grey Audi SQ5 where a getaway driver was waiting for them.

    The Audi had false plates and was stolen in a burglary in South Yorkshire almost two weeks earlier.

    Police want any information on the gang.

    A North Yorkshire village hall that dates back to the World War Two will be rebuilt with the help of a £324,000 Lottery grant.

    The money's going to Farndale, where volunteers have been fundraising to build a modern community hall.

    The current Farndale Village Hall is just a shack - but is the hub of the community. It hosts film nights, meetings, events

    Campaigners say they've got more work to do, but the grant, of more than £300,000, means work might start within 12 months.
