  3. Watch: 'Too much for three paramedics to deal with' - Bradford couple on Arena attackpublished at 08:19 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2017

Many of the most seriously injured victims of the Manchester Arena attack did not get expert medical help for more than an hour, two witnesses from Bradford have said.

Twenty-two people were killed and 512 injured by suicide bomber Salman Abedi at an Ariana Grande concert on 22 May.

Only three paramedics ever entered the cordoned-off foyer area at the centre of the blast, the BBC has been told.

Phil and Kim Dick, from Bradford, were in the arena foyer at the time of the explosion, waiting for their daughter and granddaughter to come out of the concert:

    Cars

Hull North MP Diana Johnson, who's due to lead a debate in the Commons tonight, thinks the North needs more money and power to help build a modern road and rail network.

The Department for Transport says it's carrying out the biggest investment in transport for the north of England in a bid to help build the "Northern Powerhouse" and to deliver improved journeys for passengers.

  7. Listen: Sheffield man prompts mental health debate in Parliamentpublished at 07:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2017

A debate's due to be held in Parliament later discussing whether mental health education should be compulsory in schools.

It follows a petition set up by Sheffield man Adam Shaw, who founded the The Shaw Mind Foundation after suffering mental health issues himself.

More than 100,000 people signed Mr Shaw's petition, which means Parliament now has to discuss the idea.

He says his own problems made him think about trying to make a difference for others:

  8. 'Treatment delayed' for Manchester Attack victims - Bradford couplepublished at 06:59 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2017

A couple from West Yorkshire who were caught up in the Manchester Arena bombing say many of the most seriously wounded victims had to wait for over an hour before receiving expert medical treatment.

    Phil and Kim Dick

Twenty-two people were killed and 512 injured by suicide bomber Salman Abedi at an Ariana Grande concert on 22 May.

Phil and Kim Dick, from Bradford, were in the arena foyer at the time of the explosion, waiting for their daughter and granddaughter to come out of the concert.

The couple told the BBC a young victim with "horrific" injuries collapsed in front of them.

Mrs Dick said she sat with the girl, who survived, for more than an hour.

"She could hardly walk. She was stumbling, bleeding from her arm and her mouth and her leg, and her hair was burnt," said Mrs Dick.

"I just kept shouting: 'We need paramedics now'. And they [armed police] just said: 'We're just making sure there are no more bombs'."

"There was just too much for just three paramedics to deal with," Mr Dick added.
