Thousands of items get left behind by their owners on public transport everyday, but when an elf goes missing on a bus in Yorkshire at Christmas time, special efforts need to be made.
This elf was lost on the number three bus from Leeds to Brackenwood yesterday afternoon, so the driver made an appeal to try to find its owner.
But as you can see, the elf wanted to have some fun on the bus first:
Bus driver Kieron Hall posted these pictures on Facebook, they show the elf in different positions all over the bus.
Kieron wrote on Facebook: "I am an elf all by myself. I was travelling with my owner on the number 3 bus from Leeds to Brackenwood this afternoon between 15.30 - 16.30.
"Luckily Mr Bus Driver found me when he was doing his checks and let me have some fun on his bus. I even got to drive! Now I would love to be reunited with my owner so we can spend Christmas together."
And the good news is Kieron managed to track down his owner, and the little boy is said to be very happy!
