    England leg-spinner Adil Rashid says he would consider a return to red-ball cricket at the end of the summer.

    The 32-year-old from Bradford was part of the England team that won the World Cup but has not played Test cricket since January 2019 because of a shoulder injury.

    He is only due to play limited-overs cricket for Yorkshire this season.

    "Once September comes, if my shoulder is 100% and I feel I can get back into red-ball, that is something I would consider," he said.

    The photo was posted on Twitter, external by the force's Roads Policing Unit on Sunday evening.

    The force said: "M62 at Scammonden earlier today. Great to see it so deserted and people staying at home."

    Grimsby Town loan striker Billy Clarke is to raffle a Chelsea shirt once worn by Cesc Fabregas to raise money for the NHS and a Bradford-based charity.

    Clarke, 32, was in the Bradford City side that famously beat Chelsea 4-2 in a 2015 FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge.

    The money will go to Bradford Teaching Hospital and the Trussell Trust, which operates a foodbank in the city.

    "Bradford is a city I live near and I have a real fondness for it," said Clarke, who is currently on furlough.

    "Everyone knows Bradford isn't an affluent area so when everyone is getting laid off or furloughed there might be people who are struggling to feed their families."

    The Bantams were a League One side when they came from 2-0 down to beat Jose Mourinho's Chelsea and reach the fifth round.

    Clarke's own shirt worn that day, as well as the one from Spain international Fabregas, will be part of the online raffle.

    Two men had to be spoken to by police in East Yorkshire over the weekend after they were spotted sunbathing and drinking beer, external while officers say they were also called to reports of several house parties.

    Humberside Police said the two men were moved on from Leven Sports Hall on Sunday as they were "not sticking to social distancing measures"

    The force said it was also called to three addresses in East Hull because of parties being held, external and reports of a large group gathering on Thoresby Street near the city centre.

    Writing on social media police said: "Government guidelines are still in place and should be followed to avoid fines."

    Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a blaze on the moors in West Yorkshire.

    Crews from the county, as well as colleagues in Greater Manchester and Lancashire, fought the fire at Widdop Reservoir near Hebden Bridge through Sunday afternoon and evening.

    At its height, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a total of eight pumps plus other crews, including specialist wildfire units, were at the scene.

    They used beaters, water backpacks and blowers to try to extinguish the flames, believed to be burning along a 200m front.

    At 20:00 yesterday evening West Yorkshire Fire Service said it was scaling back it's attendance at the fire to three fire engines.

    Police in West Yorkshire say they are "concerned" for the safety of a man missing from Bradford.

    Officers say Adam Boyle (pictured), 53, was last contacted at about 22:30 last night.

    Mr Boyle is said to have links to other parts of Bradford and Leeds and is thought to be driving a blue Volkswagon Jetta.

    Anyone who sees him is asked to contact police.

    Former Leeds Rhinos skipper Kallum Watkins has quit NRL side Gold Coast Titans and returned home to be with his father, who has contracted coronavirus.

    The England centre, 29, joined the Australian side in June 2019, but only made eight appearances after knee reconstruction surgery.

    The Titans said they had accepted a request from Watkins for himself and his family to return to the UK immediately, ending a contract which was due to run until 2021.

    His manager, Chris Orr, said Watkins wanted to "prove a point" in Australia, but "family comes first".

    Watkins started his career at Leeds in 2007, winning six Grand Finals, two Challenge Cups and the World Club Challenge during his time at Headingley.

    A 99-year-old war veteran who raised £26m for the NHS is to be guest of honour at the opening of a Nightingale hospital in Harrogate.

    Capt Tom Moore originally aimed to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together by completing 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

    The veteran, who was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire, will appear via video link at the opening on Tuesday.

    He said it was an honour and a chance to thank NHS workers directly.

    Capt Tom said: "I think the amount raised demonstrates just how much we all value the dedication and sacrifices made by our NHS workers. I have fought during a war and they are now fighting in a war too."

    NHS Charities Together said it was "truly inspired and humbled" by his efforts.

    Simon Stevens, NHS chief executive, said: "Inviting Captain Moore to be our guest of honour at the opening of NHS Nightingale Yorkshire and Humber is the least we can do to thank him."

    Harrogate Convention Centre will be used for 500 beds - the first of the field hospitals to be built outside a city.
