A quadriplegic ex-rugby player inspired by Captain Tom Moore to walk 26 laps of his home for charity has completed his challenge, "smashing" his £2,000 target.
Jimmy Gittins, 46, has raised more than £5,500 by completing laps around his Wakefield home on crutches, and said: "To not only to make the £2,000 target but then to absolutely smash it, I just think it's truly amazing."
Managers say staff face long journeys to test centres, with one reporting a three-hour round trip.

Read MoreA group of volunteers in West Yorkshire who are making Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for front-line NHS workers say they've completed their first consignment.
The group of 40 volunteers in Boston Spa, West Yorkshire, who call themselves the "Boston Scrubbers", started making scrubs for health workers two weeks ago.
They've already finished 26 full sets of scrubs, 82 scrub bags, 100 headbands and 26 mask holders, with a further 32 sets of scrubs in production, they say.
Today's collection has been taken to Yorkshire Scrubs, the Facebook group pooling together scrubs for the NHS being made by groups across the county.
A university has donated more than 160,000 items of personal protective equipment (PPE) to doctors, nurses and staff on the front line in Sheffield.
The equipment, including face masks, coveralls, latex gloves and hand sanitiser, has been collected from laboratories and workshops at the University of Sheffield and given to NHS staff at the Northern General Hospital.
University engineers have also been working to design and produce face shields.
President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sheffield, Prof Koen Lamberts, said: “Like so many universities in the UK, one of our first responses to the Covid-19 pandemic was to ask, ‘what can we do to help?’.
"We are very pleased to be able to support the NHS through research, innovation and donations of equipment such as PPE."
Rainbow signs with a "thank you" message for staff working on the front line fighting coronavirus are to be installed on roundabouts in East Yorkshire.
The signs thank NHS staff and carers for their work during the pandemic.
Five roundabouts are to feature the signs, which are designed to be an uplifting message of appreciation to key workers as they travel to work, the council said.
The first of the signs were installed on the Castle Hill roundabout near Castle Hill Hospital this morning.
Councillor Richard Burton, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "Many key workers across the East Riding are doing an outstanding job at this very difficult time.
"These rainbow roundabout signs are just a small way of showing our support and appreciation for those hard-working staff in the NHS and in the care sector who are providing essential help and care to so many people in our community."

The aircraft were grounded at the beginning of April, however one of the helicopters will return to work tomorrow, it's been announced.
The charity said it comes as patients will not be sent to the new Nightingale facility in Harrogate as existing hospitals continue to manage the surge in coronavirus cases allowing the YAA crew to return to their usual duties.
One of the two aircraft will be operational as the other undergoes annual maintenance.
The charity added that is has seen a fundraising deficit of about £420,000 as events were cancelled because of the virus.
Peter Sunderland, chairman of the YAA, commented: "Obviously we are delighted to be able to start operating one of our helicopters again and have our crew available to respond to emergency 999 calls.
"The team has worked at very short notice to make the necessary preparations to recommence operations from tomorrow, and I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication in ensuring we’re ready to resume our vital work."

The Department for Transport (DfT) said it was working with networks in Greater Manchester, Sheffield, the West Midlands, Nottingham and Tyne and Wear.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham had warned his area's service could be "mothballed" due to financial losses.
The DfT said it was working "to identify what support is needed".
