The Palais de Danse, a former cinema and dance hall she bought in 1961, was the sculptor's biggest work space in her adopted hometown of St Ives.

She used the space, which was opposite her home, to create prototypes of major commissions, often cast in bronze.

The announcement comes in the week marking the 45th anniversary of Hepworth's death in 1975, aged 72.

The artist, who grew up in Wakefield, lived in Trewyn Studios in St Ives from 1949 until her death, caused by a fire, on 20 May 1975.

Ben Mattocks, from Doncaster, underwent two operations and spent 10 weeks in Sheffield Children's Hospital after being diagnosed with the condition in January following a bout of sinusitis.

But, despite a "long and difficult journey" to regain his movement, he took his first steps six weeks ago.

Lucy Wrens, Ben's mum, said her son wanted to "give something back" to the hospital for their "outstanding" care and decided to walk the length of a marathon over six days, raising almost £1,700 for The Children's Hospital Charity.

Ms Wrens said: "Ben was a very active child, attending the gym five times a week and he loved to play sport, everything from swimming to football. The change was so sudden. It was heartbreaking seeing him not able to move or respond to us.

"Following his surgery, Ben faced the possibility of spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair and began a long and difficult journey to regain both his movement and strength."

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority has been warned the public transport network faces a "painful couple of weeks" as more people return to work following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Dave Pearson, director of transport services, said the number of services provided by Northern would rise from 45% of normal to 63% from today and bus numbers would increase from 50% of normal services to 70 or 80% in early June.

Mr Pearson said: "That creates challenges and real risks that people could be left at bus stops or at rail stations."

Meanwhile, the government has said people traveling on trains should wear a face covering if possible, a request backed by train companies LNER, Northern and Transpennine.

Northern says there'll be extra services on some of its routes, but capacity will be down to help people stay socially distanced.

And from 11:00 this morning all customers using trains run by York-based LNER must have a reservation to travel.
