A therapist employed with money raised by young Sheffield fundraiser "Captain" Tobias Weller says he will "do everything I can to make him proud".
Tobias (pictured above), 10, who has cerebral palsy and autism, was nicknamed "Captain" after he was inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore to start raising money during the pandemic.
He completed his third challenge in September and has so far raised over £150,000 for his school and The Children's Hospital Charity in his home city.
The money raised for the hospital has funded a two-year position for an exercise and physical activity therapist at the hospital's Ryegate Centre.
The first person to fill the position is Reece Goodwin (pictured below), from Rotherham, who works alongside physiotherapists and occupational therapists and says it is his "dream job".
The 25-year-old says: "I saw Tobias and his mum on TV at the time and their example gave me a huge lift, but I never thought I'd be involved in continuing their legacy."
In December, Tobias won the inaugural Captain Sir Tom Moore Young Unsung Hero Award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year event and met the 100-year-old.
Speaking when the hospital charity announced the therapy role, Tobias said: "It makes me feel magnificent. If another child managed to achieve what I have achieved because of my fundraising I will be chuffed to bits."

A caterpillar made from rocks gathered by people during the Covid pandemic now has a permanent home in North Yorkshire.
The design is known in the Thirsk area as Colin the Covid Caterpillar and is made up of more than 200 decorated stones.
Some parts of Colin went missing, including his head, but the local community came together and tracked down the missing rocks.
The design was put back together and has now been permanently fixed in place at Sowerby Sports Village.
It was the idea of Gemma and her six-year-old-son Noah.
Gemma told BBC Radio York: "He's there permanently now. They've cemented him in, so hopefully it stays looking as good as it does now. I did sit and varnish over 200 rocks.
"It's been very community-driven. Everybody in and around Thirsk, children and adults alike, has enjoyed seeing this get bigger and bigger and I think it's something to remember of a time that was really quite difficult."
The A64 is to be closed overnight this week between Malton and York, meaning some drivers could face a 58-mile diversion which will take about an hour and a half.
The Highways Agency said the road would close in both directions between Barr Lane to Claxton, external from 20:00 to 06:00 Monday to Friday for resurfacing and drainage work.
Drivers have been urged to allow extra travel time for the diversion, which goes from Malton to Pickering, along the A170 to Thirsk then on the A19 to York.
This morning will be a chilly, bright start. Any mist patches will quickly lift. Through the day, there will be plenty of sunshine, but there is the chance of the odd shower. Light winds.
This evening, showers will ease off, and skies will remain mostly clear. Temperatures will drop away again, and it will be quite a chilly night with the chance of frost, particularly in rural spots.

As the COP26 summit gets under way in Glasgow, decision-makers in Leeds are meeting to look at how to encourage the city's young people into so-called green jobs.
Green jobs are occupations that directly contribute to tackling climate change, such as working in renewable energy.
A report being discussed by Leeds City Council's Climate Emergency Advisory Committee says recent demonstrations in the city and school strikes - where pupils walked out of class to highlight climate change - prove young people here are passionate about the issue.
The report says officials now want to point them towards new greener careers.
The government has already pledged to increase the number of British people employed in skilled environmentally-friendly jobs to two million by 2030.
An 18-year-old man has been found dead on wasteland in Doncaster, police have confirmed.
The teenager's body was found on the land on College Road on Monday morning.

Supt Neil Thomas says: “We would urge members of the public to stay away from the area while officers continue their work.”
The famous 50ft-high Victorian pipe organ at Leeds Town Hall has been played for the last time before it undergoes a £1.8m refurbishment.
The organ is thought to be one of the largest in Europe and was played at the venue's opening ceremony attended by Queen Victoria in 1858.
Leeds City Council said a team of highly specialist engineers will now work to replace the instrument’s soundboards, wind supply and console.
City Organist Darius Battiwalla, who performed the final concert on Sunday (pictured), said: "When people look at the organ, they don't realise there are between 5-6,000 pipes. It is a huge undertaking. It will almost be like a new instrument, even though it will still look Victorian."
"I won't be out of a job because Leeds Cathedral has agreed to host our organ recitals, the first one of which is today."
The Town Hall is also being refurbished, and when it reopens will have a new 260-seat performance space, bar/cafe area, a new lift and improved toilet facilities.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was found seriously injured in the street in South Yorkshire.

It's believed the man, who is in his 30s, had been assaulted and an investigation's now been launched to find out what happened.

There was something special in store for anyone in North Yorkshire who happened to look skywards on Saturday night, with the Northern Lights paying a rare visit to our part of the world.
Andrew McCauley, who took the picture above in Scarborough, said: "It wasn't very visible to the eye, only a very slight purple haze above the horizon."
BBC Look North's weather presenter Abbie Dewhurst explains the reason we could see them at all was due to the weather conditions over the weekend. She says: "We saw some heavy rain on Saturday and the weather front that brought the rain was immediately followed by very clear air.
"That meant parts of Yorkshire managed to have good enough visibility to see the spectacle.
"It’s not something that happens this far south very often, so was a rare treat for those who witnessed it."
