    Our East Midlands Today reporter Victoria Hicks is in Measham today where police are looking for a missing school girl.

    She is expecting to talk to Det Ch Supt David Sandall at 13:00 to get an update on their investigation.

    I'll bring you more details on this when we get it.

  2. Fear grows as missing teenager's phone is 'found'published at 12:35

    Police say a phone thought to belong to missing Kayleigh Hayward was found in the area of Sence Valley Forest Park.

    They believe she was at the park on Saturday afternoon and are trying to piece together her movements.

    Det Ch Supt David Sandall said: “Our concern for Kayleigh is growing. She does not have her phone with her and has no way of contacting us, which adds to our worries about her safety."

  3. Travel: Delays over broken-down vehicle continuepublished at 12:09

    A broken-down vehicle is still affecting the M1.

    One lane is closed on M1 southbound between J20, A4303 (Lutterworth) and J19, M6 (Catthorpe Interchange), because of a broken-down vehicle.

    Kayleigh Haywood's current school have also issued a statement following her disappearance.

Kayleigh was last seen on Friday evening (13 November) at around 6pm having been dropped off by her parents near Ibstock Community College.   5. School's concern for missing former pupilpublished at 11:30

    Back now to the missing Measham teenager.

    Her former school, Ibstock Community College, say: "We are very concerned about the welfare of Kayleigh Haywood, who was a student here until 2013.

    "We are a small school and so every student who has been part of our community is well known. We have a strong relationship with Kayleigh’s family and this continues."

    They go on to say the school is giving support to concerned students and they're providing a safe and calm environment.

  6. Muslim women 'fear backlash' in Leicester over Paris attackspublished at 11:16

    More now on the reaction of the Muslim community in Leicester since the Paris shootings and bombings. 

    Some parts of the community have told BBC Radio Leicester they are worried about a possible backlash, particularly towards women who are a "visible target".

    At a mosque in the Highfields area of the city yesterday Muslim people were praying and showing solidarity to the victims.

    One of the women there, Yasmin Sirti, said she thinks women are fearful but they're also angry about the situation.

  7. Police looking at CCTV for missing Kayleighpublished at 11:00

    There's been another update from the police on missing Kayleigh Haywood. Today they are looking at CCTV and making house-to-house enquiries. 

    They say a number of scenes have also been "secured" with cordons still in place in the Ibstock area, including one at Sence Valley Forest Park.

    I'll bring you more updates on this when we get it.

    Two men, aged 27 and 28, arrested in connection with the disappearance of Kayleigh Haywood are still in police custody.

  9. Trains getting back-to-normal in Leicestershirepublished at 10:28

    Trains are now running between Leicester and Market Harborough again, external. They were stopped earlier this morning after a person was hit and killed by a train. 

    East Midlands Trains warn their service could be affected until 13:00 as they re-position trains and crew.

    The death is not being treated as suspicious.

    A bit more now on missing Kayleigh Haywood. Police have made a statement appealing for her to come home.

    Det Ch Supt David Sandall is head of crime at Leicestershire Police, external and said: "Kayleigh, if you see this, I want you to know that you are not in trouble.

    "The police and your family are concerned as they have not heard from you since Saturday morning and we just want to make sure you are ok.”

    So far the search for missing Kayleigh Haywood has been focused around Sence Valley Forest Park and the Baker's Croft estate on the outskirts of Ibstock.
