    Leicester-born Chris Adcock and his wife Gabby are through to the quarter-finals of the Yonex All-England Open Badminton Championships.

    Headteacher at Queniborough Primary School, Joy Hardy, has been speaking about the challenges recruiting someone to run a school crossing patrol.

    "The problem with a crossing patrol is you have to be there 40 minutes in the morning, 40 minutes in the afternoon" Ms Hardy said. 

    "It ties you down a little bit, but you do get to talk to children and I think that can make your day".

    A carer has been suspended after a picture emerged showing a man holding a pile of shopping while a woman stands next to him smoking and on her phone. 

    The photograph, understood to have been taken in Leicester, was shown to learning disability charity Mencap. 

    Mencap confirmed they have suspended the woman and were "appalled" by the apparent goings-on in the picture.

    Manu Tuilagi has said he's "ready" to play for England against Wales.

    The Tigers centre said: "I feel ready. I've played six games and I feel good to go.

    "This is Test rugby. If you get asked to play 40 minutes, you play 40 minutes. I'm ready for any amount of time that I'm asked to play."

    The number of teenage pregnancies in Leicester have fallen for the 10th consecutive year.

    A total of 151 girls aged between 15 and 17 became pregnant in the city in 2014, 26 fewer than the previous year.

    Queniborough Primary School in Leicester hasn't had a lollipop lady or man since the last one retired in 2015. 

    The headteacher has said she's got serious concerns for the safety of her pupils because they can't find a permanent crossing patrol.

  13. NHS: 'Hard to find a kidney match for boy'published at 15:11

    Matthew was diagnosed with congenital nephrotic syndrome at five weeks old and had both kidneys removed.

    A spokeswoman for NHS Blood and Transplant said his nine-year wait was because "high levels of antibodies in his body make it even harder to find a match".

    He received a kidney from his mum Nicola when he was a year old but it was removed following complications.

    Meet the 10-year-old boy from Glenfield who has been on the kidney transplant list almost his whole life.

    Matthew Pietrzyk is on dialysis and takes 18 tablets a day.

    The youngster, who had his kidneys removed, has been on the waiting list for nine years due to a shortage of donors and problems finding a match.
