    Some people living in Market Harborough have blamed the recent flooding there on there being too many new housing developments.

    But Councillor Neil Bannister, who's in charge of emergency planning for the area, said the council do consider flood risks. 

    "It's something that has got to be considered carefully when an application goes in," he said.

  7. Rail delays caused by 'faulty cable'published at 10:47

    There are still delays on trains across Leicestershire. Here's what Network Rail have had to say about the disruption.

    "We are sorry that rail services in the East Midlands are being disrupted by a faulty cable this morning.  The cable is part of our signalling system; the 'traffic lights' of the railway which help signallers to safely control train movements.

    "Power has now been restored but there will be some delays to services throughout the morning as the timetable returns to normal," a spokesperson said.
