    One Syrian refugee family is going to be rehomed in the Harborough district every year for the next five years.

    The council is working with the private sector to make sure housing is available.

    Charnwood, Blaby, Hinckley and Bosworth, Melton, North West Leicestershire and Rutland councils have also all agreed to take part in the relocation scheme.

    In Melton they're going to take 50 refugees over five years.

    Families will start arriving in July.

    We're had an update from the police on an assault in the city over the weekend., external

    The 36-year-old man who was seriously assaulted is still in hospital in a "stable" condition.

    The man was knocked unconscious in a fight with two other man outside McDonald's in East Gates at about 22:45 on Friday.

    A 23-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

    Leicester assistant manager Craig Shakespeare has revealed the club's former boss rang him to congratulate them on the title win.
