BBC Local LiveDonington Le Heath manor house near Coalville has officially reopened to the public after a year long renovation programme.
The restored period rooms now give visitors the chance to see how people lived in the late Elizabethan and early Jacobean times.
The garden has also been redesigned to feature 17th century-style plants and a herb garden.

Councillor Alison Smith said: "Coalville still has very strong links with our armed forces.
