    The former deputy manager at the Cedar Court care home in Wigston told the inquest she'd showed the new nighttime agency nurse how to administer and record the medication.

    Mabel Casyao said she stayed beyond midnight to explain the system. Her main concern was that the drugs should have been given at 20:00 that night back in February 2013.

    The nurse suspected of giving her the fatal overdose of Oxycodone will speak tomorrow on the second day of the inquest.

    A jury is considering a verdict on the death of a Leicester man outside a Derbyshire nightclub. 

    Seventeen-year-old Dante Francis from Leicester was stabbed by 21-year-old Dominic Halliday-Fox from Derby outside the Empire bar in Sawdlincote in April. 

    Mr Halliday-Fox has denied murder and said he just wanted to scare him away.  

    The trial is taking place at Nottingham Crown Court.

    I'm hearing the jury has gone out in the trial of Dominic Halliday-Fox.

    The 21-year-old is accused of murdering teenager Dante Francis from Leicestershire outside a pub in Derbyshire - more info here.

    Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen said the public would be amazed that Mr Vaz could be given such a role, given the allegations he is facing and said it would damage the reputation of parliament.

    The Leicester East MP resigned as chairman of the home affairs select committee after claims he paid for the services of two male escorts.

    Scotland Yard is assessing the allegations against Mr Vaz, though it has not launched an investigation.

    The North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen has notified the Speaker of the House of Commons that he intends to oppose the appointment of Keith Vaz to the justice select committee.

    Neil Hodgkin from the Saffron Lane Neighbourhood Council says there was a lack of decent housing in the area.

    He says this estate provides much needed, affordable family homes.

    The Saffron Lane Neighbourhood Council came up with the idea for the 68 house estate, which is apparently one of the first of its kind in Europe.

    Patricia Rosen died in February 2013 - police investigated but the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to bring any charges against anyone.

    The inquest into the 78-year-old's death is continuing.

    An inquest has been hearing how a Leicestershire care home resident died after mistakenly being given a painkiller.

    The amount of drug given to Patricia Rosen was 16 times the usual starting dose of Oxycodone.

    The medication had been meant for another resident also called Patricia at the Cedar Court home in Wigston.

    Police have issued an update on the suspected murder of Promise Ndvovu in Leicester over the weekend.

    They say the three men they've arrested are still being questioned by detectives.

    A post-mortem examination has been carried out but the results were "inconclusive" - more tests are now being carried out to find out the cause of death.
