    I ought to stress this is a DRAFT of the plan from late October - but we understand there are unlikely to be significant changes in the final version.

    Still though people here in Hinckley are concerned what this could mean for them.

    About 11,000 people have already signed a petition calling for the hospital to be saved after concerns were raised earlier this year.

    It looks like missing teenager Jade Cartlidge has now been found "safe and well".

    Police have thanked everyone for helping with their appeal.

    Somewhere in the region of 800 full-time jobs could be lost with these changes - although almost 500 would be created in parts of the NHS which are under the most pressure.

    This is because some parts of the health service will expand.

    There'll be 77 more staff working in emergency and urgent care, a 4% increase in GPs and an even bigger increase in support staff at GP surgeries.

    Leicester General is also affected by the new plans -  acute services would go with departments moved to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and Glenfield Hospital.

    The Sustainability and Transformation Plan is about making massive savings to balance the local NHS's books.

    Over £400m needs to be saved by 2021 and that means radical changes to the way health services are delivered in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

    The Hinckley & District Hospital, St Mary's Birth Centre in Melton and Lutterworth's Feilding Palmer Hospital would close.

    Almost all community hospitals would be downsized.

    Plans leaked to the BBC say three of Leicestershire's hospitals could be set to close.

    It's thought an announcement is to be made later this week regarding the future of hospitals in Hinckley, Melton Mowbray and Lutterworth.
