    It'll be a clear, cold and frosty night for many, with freezing fog patches forming in places.

    A minimum temperature of 3C (27F) in urban areas and 5C - 7C in rural areas.

    After a frosty start to Tuesday, it'll be another fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine for most. 

    Despite the sunshine it will feel cold.

    The police involvement in the crash on Fosse Road South was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

    This is because Guy Tomlinson was being followed by an unmarked police car at the time of the crash.

    The police watchdog has said today that its investigation is now "in its final stages".

    Earlier I told you the government had agreed to spend £2.8m on a business case for the Melton Mowbray Eastern Bypass.

    Well it's news that has been welcomed by the leader of Melton Borough Council.

    Pam Posnett said: "It's the best news that we've had in years. We've been waiting for this announcement to come along so we can now start to work with the county council to plan the route of the road."

    Police are looking to identify, external this man after two distraction burglaries...

    One was on Parker Drive in Leicester, the other was on Newton Close in Barrow Upon Soar - both victims had cash taken from them.

    From the police appeal it looks like the man was offering to do gardening work.

    People in the Fosse Road South area of the city might remember a big crash back in March - a Ford Transit collided with a Peugeot 206, killing two people.

    Guy Tomlinson was the man police believed was responsible 

    The 37-year-old has now pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two charges of causing death by driving while uninsured and two counts of causing death by driving while unlicensed.

    A nine-year-old boy with a rare form of cancer will receive vital treatment in the US after a £120,000 fundraising target was reached, his family say.

    Alex Goodwin, from Dunton Bassett, Leicestershire, has a bone cancer only found in children and will undergo treatment he could not have on the NHS.

    Money is also being invested into making dangerous roads more safe - that doesn't include any roads in Leicestershire though.

    In our region £175m is being spent on making nine roads in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire safer.

    The government has also announced £8m in funding to fix pot holes in the East Midlands.

    Leicestershire will benefit from just over £1m of that money - apparently that's enough to fill more then 21,000 annoying holes in the road.

    Rutland is getting £153,000 and Leicester City will get £187,000.
