Quote Message“As the Fenwick store has been part of Leicester’s shopping offer for more than 50 years, we’re naturally sorry to hear of their plans to close. The area around the Fenwick store is seeing considerable investment, with a major mixed-use scheme now taking shape on the former New Walk Centre site, new businesses moving in, and new residential schemes planned. We are therefore confident that new uses will be found for this beautiful building and that the area will continue to thrive.”

Ruth Kirk said: "Oh no, it's the best store in town. You can keep your John Lewis, Debenhams, etc. Boring chain stores with no character. I hate shopping but if I need to shop, this is the place I go to. RIP Fenwicks, I shall miss you."
