    A woman was assaulted and her car stolen when she stopped to call an ambulance for a man lying in the road, Nottinghamshire Police said.

    Police said she pulled over on the A614 near Ollerton at about 00:20 on Friday but was attacked and robbed.

    Two men, both aged 26, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

    Police in Derby have set up a mobile police station to target the use and supply of a drug known as "black mamba" or "spice".

    The substance is responsible for turning people into so-called "zombies".

    The station is a temporary measure at St Peter's Cross designed to offer advice and give reassurance to people living and working in the area.

    Supt Tracy Harrison said the police presence is already making a difference because they have made a number of arrests and issued a dispersal order.

    Longer term she said they are focusing on the reason people are using the drug and the outlets supplying them.

    Police investigating a crash in Markfield have released five teenagers from police custody.

    The children aged between 16 and 14 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle theft after two cars crashed on Launde Road on Saturday afternoon.

    A 69-year-old man was injured and taken to hospital in Nottingham where he remains in a stable condition.

    Two other people were treated for less serious injuries at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

    There's been yet another attempt to steal a cash machine in the East Midlands over the weekend - this time it was from the service station at Castle Donington.

    It happened in the early hours of Sunday morning. Several men described as being "masked" were seen trying to get inside building by forcing open a fire exit.

    Once inside they tried to take the free-standing ATM but failed. They left the scene empty-handed.

    In the last few months cash machines have been stolen from several places in the region including Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire, pictured, just last week.
