It has been confirmed the public inquiry into historical child sex abuse is coming to Nottingham next year.
The inquiry will look at whether there were any institutional failures to protect children in the care of Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils from abuse and exploitation.
The hearings will be held over three weeks in October.
Billhar Uppal, a solicitor from Nottingham, will be leading the cases of historical child abuse and will be involved with the inquiry when it comes here.
He said: "Beechwood is a generic umbrella name for the vast majority of children's homes in Nottingham city and county running at the time.
"Every single one of those homes will be under scrutiny as will the whole system of child care in Nottingham city and county as well as nationally."

Five men have gone on trial in connection with the imprisonment and death of a 40-year-old man found in a Leicester car park.
The body of Promise Ndlovu was found in Charter Street last October - it's claimed he and a group of men were involved in a scam that went wrong.
Leicestershire Police referred itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission at the time as Mr Ndlovu had contacted them prior to his death.
Two men are accused of manslaughter. They, and three others are also accused of false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice.
They deny the charges at Nottingham Crown Court.
Here's some more birthday messages to Radio Leicester - the first BBC local radio station to turn 50.

The daughter of a footballer whose dementia was caused by heading the ball says she hopes a BBC documentary will help highlight the issue.
An inquest into the death of Jeff Astle, who started his career at Notts County, found that repeatedly heading heavy leather footballs had contributed to trauma to his brain.
His daughter Dawn Astle said: "When he was going up to Glasgow to see Dr Willie Stewart, a consultant neuropathologist who re-examined my dad's brain...he found that he didn't have alzheimer's, he had what I suppose in layman's terms is boxer's brain."
Footballer Alan Shearer investigates the link between football and dementia in a one-hour documentary.
The documentary called Alan Shearer: Dementia, Football And Me will be aired on 12 November on BBC One.
