    Police launched an investigation after a property was targeted in St Chads Road on Sunday evening.

    The men were arrested this afternoon in Mount Carmel Street in Normanton and Arleston Lane in Sinfin.

    A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, external after a firearm was allegedly shot in Killamarsh.

    Police said it happened during a disturbance in Rotherham Road on Sunday 30 September.

    The force said the suspect had been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 6 November.

    A man who died after being hit by a car in Ockbrook has been named as Ryan Parkins.

    The 22-year-old from Ilkeston was a pedestrian on Dale Road on the evening of 4 October when he was hit by a black Jaguar. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Ryan's family have paid tribute to the "kind, caring and thoughtful young man" who they've said "will leave an empty space in all our hearts".

    They added: “There are no words to describe the pain and loss we are feeling as a result of this tragedy."

    Police would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who drove on Dale Road around the time of the crash with dash cam footage.

    A special ceremony has been held to remember five Nottinghamshire men who died on a ship which was sunk in the Irish Sea 100 years ago today.

    The grave of a father and son who were on board the Royal Mail Ship Leinster has been rededicated today at the Rock Cemetery on Mansfield Road.

    They were among 501 people who died when the boat was hit by two torpedoes from a German U-boat in World War One.

    The pair's headstone has been restored as part of a project by the Nottingham Civic Society after member Kevin Powell found it "toppling over".

    Fiona Hutchinson, the great niece of one of the men who died, attended the ceremony.

    "I think it's a lovely gesture," she said.

    "It's incredibly nice all these people are remembered. It's very important."

    Two badgers and two foxes have been found dumped by the side of a road in Foston after apparently being shot dead, external.

    The animals were found on Uttoxeter Road, between Hay Lane and Cuplow Lane, last Wednesday.

    Police believe they had been carried there in blue rubble bags found next to them.

    Anyone with information on who's responsible has been asked to call 101.

    A Leicester artist, whose designs have been sold around the world for years, is holding his first exhibition.

    Kamal Koria arrived in the UK from India in the 1970s, and made a living designing birthday cards, wedding cards and bhangra album covers, but he became better known for being among the first artists in the country to draw Diwali cards.

    Now, aged 70, he's turned his brush to fine art and paintings of his childhood memories of India are on display at Loughborough Town Hall.

    Mr Koria said while he liked designing the cards and album covers, he always wanted to paint oil canvases.

    "My journey is still not fulfilled," he said.

    "I want to explain myself on the canvas, that's what I've always wanted. If someone appreciates my work like this I'm very happy."

    The Colour of India exhibition runs until 20 October.

    Police said the raiders arrived at Mac's in Chesterfield Road North at about 01:00, broke through a front door and smashed a cabinet open.

    Two more people have been charged in connection with a robbery in Mansfield.

    It follows a report that thieves forced their way into a property in Layton Burroughs.

    A 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were taken into custody on Monday and both charged last night with robbery. The man faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm.

    They are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today.

    Another man, who was charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 15 November.

    As well as World Mental Health Day, it's also World Homeless Day today. Players from Nottingham Forest have been visiting sites in the city where people sleep rough.

    The club announced last month their official charity for this season would be Framework.

    Forest stars, Joe Lolly and Ben Osborn, have been shown hidden spots in the city used for shelter and visited the charity's emergency hostel for rough sleepers in London Road.

    "It's just a massive eye opener," said Ben Osborn.

    "You know it goes on in Nottingham, but actually seeing where people are staying, it makes you think that more has got to be done.

    "There's a lot of stuff going on that you sometimes turn a blind eye to but we have to keep raising awareness."
