Nottingham Forest boss Martin O'Neill said the ref made a mistake in giving West Bromwich Albion a late penalty in last night's 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns.

Forest looked on course to pick up all three points with just a few minutes left to play before Baggies striker Dwight Gayle went down easily in the box and Jay Rodriguez equalised from the spot.

O'Neill said: "Naturally we thought it was a dive. The ref has made an honest mistake. I have spoken to him and he said that's what he thought he saw.

"It would have been a terrific result away from home against a side vying for automatic promotion."

West Brom head coach Darren Moore described his side's performance as "lethargic".

  4. Joseph Wright museum plan for former Central Librarypublished at 08:32 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2019

    BBC Radio Derby

Derby Museums Trust is hoping a two-year lease on the former Central Library can be extended so it can eventually house a museum dedicated to the work of Joseph Wright.

The library closed last summer and the trust has been leasing the space from the city council.

Executive director Tony Butler says he would like the old library to link up with the existing Derby Museum and Art Gallery to form a new attraction dedicated to the famous local artist.

    Central Library before it closed

He told BBC Radio Derby: "If we can integrate the old library space into the museum and increase the footprint of the museum to allow more of our collections to go on display to enable us to promote the work of Joseph Wright, that would be our utlimate ambition."

  6. Derbyshire MP campaigns for sunbed banpublished at 08:14 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2019

    Gavin Bevis
    BBC News

Mid Derbyshire MP Pauline Latham is calling on Britain to follow in the footsteps of Australia and Brazil by banning sunbeds.

She said any opportunity to curb the chances of people contracting melanoma should be explored.

The Conservative MP will lead a debate on the issue at Westminster later.

    Pauline Latham

She told BBC Radio Derby: "Sunbed use can encourage melanoma - not in a week, not in a month, not in a year but in future years - and melanomas are a deadly form of skin cancer.

"When the World Heath Organisation says using a sunbed is as dangerous as smoking, I'd prefer to see them banned. They're not necessary."

The Sunbed Association said the suggestion of a link between melanoma and the responsible use of sunbeds was based on flawed science.
