Two people that were arrested after a hit-and-run in Leicester have been released while the investigation continues.
A man in his 40s and a teenage boy were hit by a car on Humberstone Road after leaving a mosque early yesterday morning.
The teenager suffered minor injuries while the man was seriously injured and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Footage emerged yesterday from seconds before they were injured, showing the moment two sisters were nearly hit by a driver.
A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Police believe the car involved in the crash was a three-door blue Seat Leon Cupra. They're appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with them.
There is an increased police presence in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.

These little hedgehogs are doing "really well" after being taken to a specialist rescue centre in Queniborough.
The three babies were rescued from a garden in Leicester.
There was concern their mother may have come to some harm after they she failed to make an appearance.
The two males and one female weighed just 21 grams when they arrived at the centre. They'll also remain completely deaf and blind until they're about two weeks old.
Pat Wadd, who runs the rescue, said: “I am hand-rearing the babies with specialist milk on a syringe every two hours and they are doing really well.
“They are what we call pinkies at the moment because of their skin colour which will change to grey when they are about five days old."
Pat will keep looking after the hedgehogs until they are strong enough to be released back into the wild.

A volunteer driver is questioning why his services are no longer needed by Nottingham City Council.
Alan Campbell has been driving people around for 15 years - but now the council is letting its social services volunteer drivers go.
Mr Campbell told the BBC he feels "abandoned and unworthy" now one of his main purposes in life has been taken away from him.
He said: "I can only think it has something to do with finances but of course whoever transports these children or vulnerable adults in the future, there will be costs involved, so I cannot see how there will be any fiscal advantage."
Nottingham City Council has suggested Mr Campbell uses his volunteering services to the library service instead.
In a statement it said: "Regrettably, we can no longer afford to run this service.
"We've had fewer people coming forward to support the service and the number of volunteers has fallen steadily over the years."
It added that people needing a lift would still be able to organise one using their personal budget.
