Divers have begun searching Loughborough's Grand Union Canal in a search for a missing woman.
Linda Chambers was reported missing on 10 September and despite police inquiries, has not been traced.
Officers said the use of divers followed a search of the canal area by specially-trained dogs.
They added they were keeping an "open mind" about the 43-year-old's whereabouts.

RSPCA inspectors believe a "terrified" female dog found abandoned by the side of a road in Coalville had been used for breeding.
The eight-year-old French Bulldog was shaking with fear when she was discovered by a passerby in Whitcroft Lane on 30 November.
She was underweight, showed signs of being overbred and needed treatment for a skin condition.
The RSPCA said the dog, given the name Oola by charity staff, would stay in its care until she was well enough to be rehomed.
Inspector Ann Bennett said: "It is despicable someone could simply leave a dog at the side of the road. It must have been terrifying for her.
"For the first few days she was scared of noises and people but staff have helped her grow in confidence and she really loves a fuss."
