    Amazing what a win can do, the Imps were in an upbeat mood this morning ahead of their match against Eastleigh at the weekend. 

    With the gap now five points to the play-offs the Imps Goalkeeping Coach David Preece talked to me about looking to close the five point gap to them.

    About 300 new officers could be recruited, external by Humberside Police by the end of 2019.

    It's the first time in eight years that the force has been able to open applications to external candidates, because of officers leaving and others reaching retirement.

    We're getting reports of another whale stranding - this time just down the coast in Norfolk.

    It's the second sperm whale to beach at Hunstanton and follows four other strandings on the Lincolnshire coast.

    Hunstanton town councillor Kate Dunbar is standing nearby and she's told BBC Norfolk the whale is still "very much alive" and although it isn't moving, it "is breathing".

    Thieves who tried to drill open a parking meter in a supermarket car park failed to coin it in.

    Police in Horncastle are still looking for whoever damaged the machine in the car park of the town's Tesco superstore.

    There's a major conference in London today on the Syria crisis. Leaders from the UK, Germany, Kuwait Norway taking part, and they'll be joined by children from Lincolnshire. 

    For the last four years Frances Olive Anderson primary school in Lea near Gainsborough has been twinned with a school in Beirut where many of the students are Syrian refugees.

    They'll be delivering a presentation to the world leaders about what they've learned from their Syrian schoolfriends. Here they are talking about the work they've been doing:

    If you've been trying to get an appointment with your GP this morning and it's been a bit of a struggle, you're not alone.

    And it's not going to get much better according to doctors' leaders in Lincolnshire.

    NHS guidelines say one GP should be responsible for no more than 1,800 patients, but new figures show there are 5,000 patients per doctor in parts of our area.

    Dr Kieran Sharrock is a GP in Spilsby and medical director of the Local Lincolnshire Medical Committee - he's described the situation as "woeful".

    There's slow traffic on the A46 at Swinderby south of Lincoln after an accident at the Halfway House junction. Recovery work's under way. 

    There are also problems further along the A46 Lincoln bypass where there's been another accident at the Skellingthorpe roundabout.
