    Farmers from across Lincolnshire are attending one of the biggest events in the arable calendar. 

    Cereals 2016 showcases the latest methods and equipment when it comes to farming. 

    The event's being held near Duxford in Cambridgeshire this week.

    Disruption on the roads continues through the rush hour:

    • Severe disruption on Newark Road at Thorpe on the Hill due to broken down farm vehicle on A46 southbound
    • B1178 closed between Little Gate Lane and Main Road in Potterhanworth due to 4ft of flood water under the rail bridge
    • Its also looking very busy on the A153 in Leasingham, A52 near Wrangle and A17 Holdingham roundabout near Sleaford

    Flash flooding has meant some Lincolnshire schools will be closed tomorrow.

    Cherry Willingham Primary School will be closed to reception, year 1 and year 2 due to flooding in the corridors. 

    The school will be open to year 3 upwards as they are based in a different building.

    Ruskington Chestnut Street Church of England Primary School has reported water coming through the doors and the ceiling. 

    They will remain closed tomorrow so a clean up operation can take place.

    The Fishermen's Association in Boston has come to the defence of Nigel Farage. 

    The UKIP leader clashed earlier with Sir Bob Geldof as two sides of the EU referendum campaign sailed a flotilla of boats along the River Thames. 

    The pop star accused Mr Farage of being "no fisherman's friend" but the chair of the local Association, Ken Bagley, says he's done a lot for the industry.

    As we told you yesterday, our breakfast presenter Scott Dalton's been set a challenge for the Lincolnshire Show next week.

    He's got to bake a cake which can go on display in the WI tent.

    This is his first attempt he made with the help of Su from our sports team.

    Lots of disruption on the roads this afternoon:  

    • Severe disruption on Newark Road at Thorpe on the Hill due to broken down farm vehicle on A46 southbound.
    • Lady Jane Franklin Drive in Spilsby has been shut due to a two vehicle crash.
    • Flash flooding causing disruption on the roads. Police are advising to take care on the roads and beware of deep standing water.

    Police have closed the B1178 at Station Road in Potterhanworth due to flooding.

    A car's been pulled out of 4ft of flood water under the rail bridge in the village. 

    Emergency services are at the scene. You're being advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

  15. Lincolnshire's Lancaster unlikely to fly for Armed Forces Daypublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

    The UK's only airworthy Lancaster was missing from the Queens birthday flypast at the weekend and now there's doubts over whether she will appear for Armed Forces Day either.

    Engineers from the BBMF, external based at RAF Conningsby in Lincolnshire say they aren't sure Thumper , externalwill be able to fly as part of the celebrations in Cleethorpes. 

    The aircraft's been largely out of action since an engine fire last year.

  16. Lifesaving charity set to expand in Lincolnshirepublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

    If you live in Lincolnshire you'll know the important role the charity LIVES has to play in the county, assisting the ambulance service with thousands of call outs every year. 

    Well now the new boss of the life saving charity says they're expanding its role in Lincolnshire. 

    Chief Executive Nikki Silver says she wants to raise the profile of the work they do and to increase the amount of first aid training the charity provides.

    Volunteers with LIVES are expected to help around twenty thousand patients this year.

    A doctor based at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston has denied sexually assaulting a patient. 

    The woman complained to the police after going to A & E with bleeding from a wound following breast surgery abroad. It's alleged Dr Saqib Uddin Khan carried out an internal examination.

    Thirty-six year old Kahn has told the jury he was unable to find a nurse to act as a chaperone. 

    The trial at Lincoln Crown Court continues.

    The sun is still just about out in Lincoln but over in Horncastle rain is tipping down. 

    Lincolnshire Police are advising drivers to take care out on the roads due to heavy rain and changing conditions.  

    They say surface water building up in some areas is making it more difficult for motorists.

    It was a conversation recorded several years ago for The BBC's Listening Project which has now been brought to life through bears. 

    The voices of two brothers from Skegness, Gerald and Roland Bedford have been animated as the cuddly creatures.

    The characters Bub and Tun have a chat about their relationship and their 60 years farming together.

    One clearly holds a grudge over a £5 loan...

    Defender Herve Pepe-Ngoma is set to join the Pilgrims ahead of next season.

    The ex-Leicester under-18 player has most recently been on the books for Nuneaton Town.
