    Here's motorbike racer Guy Martin practising ahead of today's now cancelled world record attempt on the Brayford.

    He had been hoping to set a new record for the fastest human powered water vessel. 

    But there's too much weed in the water.

    Guy Martin, external has cancelled his world record attempt for the fastest human powered watercraft which was due to take place in Lincoln tomorrow. 

    It was due to be filmed by Channel Four at Brayford Pool but there are too many weeds in the water.

    There are concerns that courses to train tomorrow's farmers will be lost if the site they're based on near Lincoln is redeveloped. 

    Bishop Burton College runs classes at the Riseholme campus, but the University of Lincoln, which owns the site, has plans to redevelop the area.     

    Bill Meredith, Vice Principal of Bishop Burton, fears if the college loses the site, pupils will have to travel much further a field for their education.

    He said: "It would mean students going out of county to get their education. Lincolnshire is a proud agricultural county, the bread basket of England, we should be educating the students."

    Riseholme

    The university says it remains committed to supporting training, education and research in agriculture and food and that it wants to invest in new educational facilities at the Riseholme campus.

    Matty Wilson and Ashley Worsfold gave Dom Roma's side a shock victory and he was happy with his side's character...

    Five thousand people are heading to the Lincolnshire Showground for what's been nicknamed the "Muslim Glastonbury". 

    The four-day Living Islam Festival, external will see the showground transformed into a village of tents, shops and stalls with a prayer hall, restaurant and even a beauty marquee.
