  5. Reports of serious domestic abuse increases in regionpublished at 10:01

    Figures revealed to BBC Look North show the number of serious domestic abuse cases across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire has tripled since 2010. 

    The data - from The University of Hull - shows In 2010 there were 662 cases which were likely to result in serious harm.

    In 2015 that figure had risen to nearly 2,000.

    Those working in the field of domestic violence say the rise is down to an increased awareness.

    A leading Labour figure in Lincolnshire is calling for people to vote against having a mayor.

    The role could be created with further devolution from central government.

    It would also see the county receive an additional £15million pounds a year.

    But Rob Parker - deputy leader of the Labour group in Lincoln says it's a 'waste of money'.

  9. Teenager denies hit and runpublished at 08:47 British Summer Time 5 August 2016

    A Gainsborough teenager's denied attempted murder - in a suspected hit and run crash. 

    James Smith who's 19 and from Summergangs Lane admitted causing grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving. 

    Another 19 year old was left with serious injuries following a crash on the A631 near Beckingham in April. 

    Mr Smith is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court next Friday.
