    Geoff Thompson's just emailed us here at BBC Lincolnshire Live to update you on the problems on the M180 westbound. 

    He's on the road westbound at the moment. 

    He says it's a tanker fire and traffic's at a standstill westbound and moving slightly eastbound. 

    He says he's been told it could be up to a two-hour delay.

    Mablethorpe and Sutton Town Council has received a Quality Gold Award. 

    It's the only authority in the county - and one of only around twenty nationally to achieve the standard.

    It's live on BBC2 - and we'll be following his progress here and bring you the result. But beware, the race lasts over an hour and half.

    Two sons who were left behind after Claire and Charlotte Hart were shot dead in Spalding last month have written an emotional tribute to them.

    It's been read out at their funeral service at Moulton church, near Spalding this morning.

    We've already heard from the Lincoln MP Karl McCartney about the city's new 'transport hub'.

    £11m is coming from the Government, with the rest coming from the City of Lincoln Council and private partners including the Lincolnshire Co-op.

    Confirming  the Government's investment this morning, Transport Minister Andrew Jones said: "A new bus station, car park and upgraded railway station will be a huge benefit to people who live and work in Lincoln, and those who visit the city."

    We've been hearing from Karl McCartney on BBC Radio Lincolnshire about the news that Lincoln's £30m transport hub will go ahead.

    The city's Conservative MP says the current bus station is looking "a little bit tired and jaded" and people across the city will welcome the new project.

    £11m has been pledged by the Department for Transport, the rest is coming from the private sector and the Labour-run City of Lincoln Council.

    Council chief executive Angela Andrews will be talking about the project later in the day.

  17. Coastguard alerted over missing man at Sutton Bridgepublished at 09:40 British Summer Time 16 August 2016

    The coastguard was called in last night as to search for a man reported missing near Sutton Bridge.

    Coastguard Rescue Teams from Sutton Bridge and Hunstanton carried out an extensive search along the shoreline and along the River Nene, alongside Lincolnshire Police.

    The UK Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Humberside was also sent to help search.  

    The man was located inland by police later in the evening.

    Staff at Pennells garden centre in South Hykeham, near Lincoln, will be digging deep to send their support to Copacabana beach where the race starts at around 13.00.
