    We told you yesterday that Ryan Smith, a 19-year-old who suffered life changing head injuries when he was knocked off his bike, was going to attempt to scale Mount Snowden in Wales. 

    Well today he successfully made it to the top of the mountain in a specialist wheelchair with the help of a team.

    A little known fact about BBC Radio Lincolnshire Towers, we have a little thing called "Cakeday Friday" where our wonderful receptionist Helen makes us all a cake.

    The A15 is partially blocked in Cranwell with slow traffic at the B1429 Sleaford Road junction.

    There's reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

  10. Transport police search for man after fight on trainpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 2 September 2016

    Police think this man can help their investigation into a fight on a train between Nottingham and Swinderby.

    It happened at around 6.45pm on Saturday, 23 July. A large fight broke out between two groups of men.

    If you're heading north then you may need an alternative to the Bridge.

    The Humber Bridge team say there's been an accident on the northbound carriageway.

    It's currently affecting traffic.

    They say they are keen to get things moving ASAP.

  13. Man pleads not guilty to murder of Lincolnshire womanpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 2 September 2016

    A 23-year-old man has denied murdering a 16-year-old girl from Marston in Lincolnshire. Hannah Pearson was found unconscious in a house in Newark in July. 

    She died at hospital. James Morton, who's 23 and from Pierson Street in Newark pleaded not guilty to murder at a hearing in Nottingham. 

    He'll stand trial in January.

  14. Police search for crash driverpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 2 September 2016

    Lincolnshire Police are investigating after a driver crashed into another car and drove off. 

    It happened on Wednesday night in Little Cawthorpe near Louth. 

    A vehicle caused damage to a stationary blue Peugeot 206 and left the scene. There was no one in the  damaged car at the time.

    Here's something a bit strange, it appears that the most popular names for babies in the East Midlands, external are almost identical.

    Personally I think Alexander and Alexandra have a better ring to them.

  19. Renewed appeal for missing Kamil Szparapublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 2 September 2016

    Police are renewing their appeal for Boston man Kamil Szpara, who was seen boarding a train at Boston station at 7.42am on Tuesday 23 August which was heading in the direction of Nottingham. 

    They say Kamil is now thought to be in London and has recently been in the vicinity of London Zoo.

  20. Cash burglary in Skegnesspublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 2 September 2016

    Police are looking for witnesses after a shop on Lumley Road had its safe cracked.

    It happened overnight between the 29th and 30th of August.

    They gained access through the back of the shop and made off with a large amount of cash.
