New rules come into force today governing houses of multiple-occupancy.
Landlords of houses with more than five occupants, who are not from the same family, have to apply for a licence.

It took ten fire crews to put out a blaze at a three-storey derelict building in Manby.
Firefighters were called to the building, a former RAF officers' mess on Park Lane, at about 19:00 last night.
The building's been left severely damaged.
Two crews remain at the scene this morning damping down, the fire service said.

Laura Hudson, from Donington near Spalding, took part in the UK finals of the marine pageant over the weekend.

A Lincolnshire egg company has released a new blue egg to celebrate Lincolnshire Day.
Fairburns, based in Alford, has spent two years creating a new breed of chicken, the British Blue, which produces pastel blue eggs with golden yolks.
The eggs will be going into 11 Co-op stores in the county from today.
For every half dozen eggs sold - 1p will be donated to the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, external.
Lincolnshire doctors are encouraging people to get behind the "Stoptober, external" quit smoking campaign.
The month-long campaign by Public Health England aims to get people to kick the habit.
Experts say every day about 1,000 smokers give up cigarettes and there are now about a million fewer smokers than there were four years ago.
Doctors from the Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group say if smokers can ditch cigarettes for two days, they're five times more likely to stay smoke-free for good.
Evening and weekend GP appointments are now available across Lincolnshire, patients are being reminded.
People should book through their usual GP practice or call 111 out of hours.
They'll be directed to a local surgery or "hub" which provides the extra service.
Health bosses hope the move will reduce pressure on hospital A&E departments.
