Officials say patients can contact their local surgery as normal and get advice or book a video consultation.

Lincoln GP Dr Sunil Hindocha says "Part of that confusion is as people are coming to the front door, in the past the doors were completely open, now we have to close them and vet and triage people at the door and see patients in a staggered way, so maybe that has led to some of the confusion."

The digital campaign will include a chance to hear from foster carers and an opportunity to take part in a question and answer session.

Councillor Patricia Bradwell OBE, executive member for children's services at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "Lincolnshire is a through-route from many ports on the coast, and if the police become aware of children within our border, we have a duty of care as the local authority."

From last Thursday, all pubs, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues in England had to start closing at 22:00, to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

The sector was also restricted by law to table service only.

Stuart Bateman runs Batemans Brewery, which has around 30 pubs in Lincolnshire, and says "The government is using the industry just to highlight the fact that people have got to take this very seriously, again."

He's worried that customers don't believe it's worth visiting their local because they will have too many rules and regulations to follow.

The government says there's evidence the curfew has a beneficial effect on the spread of the virus.
