A gamekeeper from Lincolnshire says he's had to move house because of intimidation from hare coursers and fears someone will get killed as a result of their activities.

Richard, who looks after 3,000 acres of land in the south of the county, says he's considered quitting his job because of the constant fear of confrontation.

He says he fears "somebody will be killed" as a result of hare coursing.

"It'll either be an innocent member of the public in a driving incident, how they fly about by trying to get away from the police. Or someone will be attacked," he adds.

Lincolnshire Police says there has been a significant increase in reports of hare coursing over the past month.

The force says officers will continue to confiscate dogs to deter the offenders.

Ch Insp Phil Vickers says those responsible are becoming "more brazen".

Certainly we changed our tactics to deal with that kind of thing, but ultimately there is a risk to the wider community...We really don't want to put our communities at risk, but we're prepared to tackle it, and we will do it in the best way that we can."
