  1. Caroline Pidgeon: 'I will build 50,000 council homes'published at 08:35

    Liberal Democrat candidate for London Mayor Caroline Pidgeon tells Vanessa we have "got to invest in training construction workers" to help solve the housing crisis. 

    She says she would build 50,000 more council houses. 

    Ms Pidgeon also says she would ban HGVs at peak times in rush hours to keep the roads safe.

    "There are too many lorries on the roads in London - they weren't built for them," she adds. 

  2. Union 'recommends calling off' Tube strikepublished at 08:24

    Train drivers' union Aslef, external has recommended suspending the planned three 24-hour Tube strikes, the first of which was due to start next Tuesday, in an on-going row over pay and conditions for the Night Tube service.

    Finn Brennan, the union's lead organiser said he made "good progress" in yesterday's talks at the conciliation service Acas.

    The other unions will discuss the possibility later.

    There will be a frosty start to the day with some freezing fog patches in northern home counties but otherwise it will be bright although cloud will thicken through the day and the wind will pick up.

  4. Queuing traffic on A3211 and A406published at 08:05

    There is queuing traffic on the A3211 Upper Thames Street in both directions at London Bridge and there's also delays on the A406 North Circular Road in both directions in Neasden at Ikea.

    Both are due to roadworks.

  5. Latest travel: Minor District Line delayspublished at 08:03

    There are currently minor delays on the District Line Eastbound between Barking and Upminster due to over running engineering works.  

    All other lines are running a good service in line with any planned works or closures
