  2. Sadiq Khan has been declared winner in the Brent and Harrow constituencypublished at 18:56 British Summer Time 6 May 2016

    Sadiq Khan has been declared winner in the Brent and Harrow constituency. The Labour candidate has won 9 of the 14 constituencies with a vote share of 44.2%. 

    He needs 50% to win so second preference votes will now come into effect.

    Sadiq Khan has been declared winner in the North East Constituency. The Labour candidate has won 8 of the 13 constituencies to declare. One left, Brent and Harrow.

  4. Highest-ever turnout in London mayoral electionpublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 6 May 2016

    With 14 constituencies declared, turnout is 45.6% - narrowly making it the highest turnout in a mayoral election. The previous high point was 2008, when turnout was 45.3%.

    Green mayoral candidate Sian Berry joined Eddie Nestor on BBC Radio London in City Hall.

    Says she thinks Greens are now "solidly the third party in London"

    Zac Goldsmith has won in two more constituencies, after both Croydon & Sutton and South West declared their results.

    The Conservative candidate now has won in five constituencies while Sadiq Khan has gained seven.

    North East and Brent & Harrow are left to declare.

  8. Investigation to be launched into Barnet voting blunderpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 6 May 2016

    An investigation is being launched into a council blunder that meant many voters in Barnet were turned away from the ballot box.

    Names were missing from polling lists across the borough and residents, including the Chief Rabbi, who attempted to cast their vote were stopped.

    The council apologised for the bungle and later offered emergency proxy votes to residents who had been affected.

    It will launch an investigation once the results in London have been declared.

    All of Barnet's 155 polling stations were affected and the council is still unable to say how many of the 236,196 registered voters had been turned away.

    All the London Assembly constituency results are now in.

    Labour won eight seats while the Conservatives were victorious in five.

    There was one gain, with Labour winning Merton & Wandsworth from the Conservatives.

    The results have been declared for North East with Labour holding the seat.

    The North East constituency is made up of the London boroughs of Waltham Forest, Hackney and Islington.

    Jennette Arnold won the seat with 58.7% of the vote.

    The turnout was 228,797, a 7.4% rise on 2012.

    Sadiq Khan has been declared winner in Barnet & Camden while Zac Goldsmith has been victorious in Havering & Redbridge.

    Sadiq now has won seven constituencies while Zac has three.

    The Conservative MP said Sadiq Khan can't deliver what he's promised.

    Greenwich & Lewisham have declared their results in the Mayoral election with Sadiq Khan won.

    He has now been victorious in six constituencies, with Zac Goldsmith winning two.

    YouGov President Peter Kellner has told BBC Radio London he predicts Sadiq Khan will win by 300,000 votes.

    He also said the Labour candidate's victory was more to do with Boris Johnson leaving the office, not thanks to Jeremy Corbyn.

    The results have been declared for South West with the Conservatives holding the seat.

    The South West constituency is made up of the London boroughs of Hounslow, Richmond upon Thames, and Kingston upon Thames.

    Tony Arbour won with 37.5% of the vote.

    City & East and Enfield & Haringey have declared their Mayoral results with Sadiq Khan winning in both constituencies.

    The Labour candidate has now won in five constituencies with Zac Goldsmith victorious in two.

    Labour's David Lammy is in a "packed" City Hall where he tweets, external there is a "great atmosphere".

    The Tottenham MP has declared "Labour is set to take back the mayoralty after 8 years of Boris".

    The results are in for Barnet & Camden where Labour have held the seat.

    Andrew Dismore won with 44.3% of the vote.

    The turnout was 5.5% higher than in 2012.

    Steve O'Connell won 38.6% of the vote.

    The results have been declared for Brent & Harrow where Labour have held the seat.

    Navin Shah won the seat but there was a 4.3% swing from Labour to the Conservatives.
