    A City trader has been found guilty of raping a young woman after a cocaine and champagne-fuelled office party. 

    Daniel Green, 26, attacked the woman, in her 20s, after she had curled up to sleep under a desk in the early hours of 16 May, 2015. 

    Green insisted the sex was consensual but an Old Bailey jury convicted him by a majority of 11 to one after deliberating for six hours He gave no reaction as the verdict was delivered.

    He was jailed for six years.

    A man has pleaded not guilty to killing Metropolitan Police officer Gordon Semple, whose dismembered body was found in a flat in south London.

    PC Semple's body was discovered on the Peabody Estate in Southwark Street, a week after he went missing in April.

    Stefano Brizzi, 50, has been charged with murder of the 59-year-old officer at Mr Brizzi's flat some time between 1 and 7 April.

    A provisional trial date at the Old Bailey has been set for 18 October.

    London had the highest average monthly rents, at £1,273, the survey suggested.
