    A man, believed to be in his late teens, was stabbed earlier in Stoke Newington High Street in north London.

    The incident happened at 12:30 and it is thought the victim is in a serious condition.

    Two people have been arrested for affray and a third has been arrested for affray and possessing a knife.

    The latest information from the Met is that the woman who was hit by a bus in Ladbroke Grove, near the junction with Canal Way, just before midday thankfully only has minor injuries.

    She is believed to be in her 30s and is being treated at a central London hospital.

    The Met is aware of 13 others who were hurt - the bus driver and 12 passengers. Nobody is thought to have life-threatening or life-changing injuries but we await confirmation of how many received hospital treatment.

    Ladbroke Grove has reopened to traffic.

    The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after she was released from beneath the double-decker which left the road in Ladbroke Grove .

    Police said the 13 other people injured were taken to hospital but none had life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

    Matt Kyp runs Anytime Fitness directly opposite the scene of the accident in Ladbroke Grove.

    He says he heard a crash and the bus had gone from the bus stop, hit a white Audi and then he noticed a woman standing on the other side of the road. The bus ploughed into her and trapped her between the vehicle and a building.

    Bystanders began to call the emergency services immediately, says Mr Kyp, who was visibly shaking while speaking to me.

  11. Man in court over 'suspicious Tube device'published at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2016

    A teenager accused of sparking a security alert after an explosive device was found on a Tube train has appeared in court. 

    Damon Smith, 19, spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood proceedings when he appeared before Mr Justice Holroyde at the Old Bailey via video-link from Belmarsh Prison.

    North Greenwich station was closed for several hours and Jubilee Line trains were disrupted

    He entered no plea to the charge of unlawfully and maliciously making or possessing an unspecified explosive substance with an intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property. 

     Smith, of Abbeyfield Road in Southwark, south-east London, was held by the Metropolitan Police after members of the public discovered a backpack on a Jubilee Line service on 20 October.

    It was handed to the driver, who later inspected the backpack and found it contained a suspicious device, prompting the evacuation of North Greenwich Underground station.

    A controlled explosion was subsequently carried out on the item.

    Commuters were given a surprise upgrade when a luxury train arrived for their daily journey to work.

    The Belmont British Pullman replaced the 07:00 GMT Southeastern service from Ashford International to London.

    The train, dating back to the 1920s, is the sister of the Venice Simplon-Orient Express.

    Travel firm Belmond chartered the train to treat commuters on a 90-minute journey through Charing, Maidstone, Otford and Swanley to London Victoria.
