    Uncertainty and gloom about Brexit are likely to hit the UK housing market well into next year, surveyors believe.

    The latest report from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) predicts that the number of homes being sold - and their prices - will fall over the next three months.

    Fewer people are interested in moving, and fewer want to sell.

    Each home is already taking an average of four months to sell, the longest period since records began in 2016.

    Fireworks, wheelie bins, knives and scooters have all been used to attack ambulances and rapid response vehicles in the past three years, a BBC freedom of information request has found.

    More than 200 acts of vandalism were reported between 2015 and October, some also featuring metal poles and bricks.

    In the North East a patient with a metal pole caused damage that cost £3,500 to repair, while in London a microwave was thrown at an ambulance.

    NHS trusts have had to pay thousands of pounds to repair damage and take ambulances off the road for repairs.

    Unison has called for bigger sentences for anyone convicted of such vandalism.

    A 30 ft (9m) steel sketch figure which weighs 1.2 ton has been unveiled in east London.

    The installation, called In Anticipation, was created by James Burke, external and is situated in the Principal Place , externalpublic plaza in Shoreditch.

    The artist said it was "real honour and privilege to work at this scale in the public domain in my home city"

    "My hope is that people can relate to the human aspect of the work, and see some of themselves in the narrative."

    Brookfield Properties, who commissioned the work, said the piece "embodies the energy and creative spirit of Shoreditch and Principal Place."

    For six and a half months, phase one of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry has heard from the families of those who died, firefighters who tried to extinguish the blaze and from those who helped in the aftermath.

    Phase two is scheduled to begin some time in 2019 and will tackle issues including the design and safety of the Grenfell Tower and more on the response from the emergency services and Kensington and Chelsea Council.
