This map shows which London Underground services are NOT running this morning.

As you can see from the Transport for London graphic, which highlights the parts of the network where there are no trains, almost everywhere in the capital is completely unserved by the Tube.

  4. No surprise over latest strikepublished at 06:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2022

    Anna O'Neill
    BBC Radio London reporter

    Stratford station

If they've learnt anything from Tuesday, it's to make sure they've got another way of getting into wherever it is they're going. A lot of people turned up on Tuesday completely surprised that there was a Tube strike.

At this time in the morning, a lot of the people that are here are not first language English speakers and perhaps they hadn't seen the news to know that there was a strike.

Now they will know they need to find alternative modes of transport and central London, according to my taxi driver, was a nightmare to drive in. He hadn't seen it like it since the 1980s.

    Anna O'Neill
    BBC Radio London reporter

It was pretty difficult yesterday... It will be pretty difficult today again.

Outside Stratford station, I can see into the bus station. There's a very crowded number 25 bus and massive crowd of people still trying to get on it.

    Thank goodness it's not raining.

London Overground is running a reduced service, the DLR is part-suspended but TfL rail and tram services are running as usual.

Good morning and welcome to our live page covering the second 24-hour Tube strike this week.

As with Tuesday's walkout we expect there will be widespread disruption affecting all lines.

About 10,000 workers from the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union began the action at midnight in a dispute over plans to cut up to 600 station posts, as well as concerns over pensions and working conditions.

We'll bring you the latest travel information, reaction and updates throughout the day.
