The trio targeted the cash machine at the Huub building on Manchester Road, Congleton, Cheshire, on Thursday night.
Officers have since found a vehicle they think may have been used in the robbery.
A 31-year-old man from Congleton has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a cash machine.
