    A woman arrested after a statue of Admiral Lord Nelson was damaged in Norwich has been released on police bail.

    The Royal Navy hero's statue in Cathedral Close was daubed with graffiti on Saturday, according to cathedral officials.

    The attack was believed to have been carried out by anti-slavery protesters.

    A woman, in her late teens, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage yesterday and has since been released by Norfolk Police until Monday, 3 August.
