Hospital 'makes improvements', says health watchdogpublished at 12:01 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2016
Safety standards at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston have improved, according to a health watchdog.
The Care Quality Commission had previously said maternity and surgery units, plus care of young people, were unsafe and required improved.
But inspectors found that these areas have improved when they returned to the hospital on 16 and 17 August.
In the report, external published today, they said staff now learn from incidents and report any concerns.
A new children's outpatients unit has been opened and 18 new midwives have been taken on. However, they still said that there were not enough staff.
The overall rating of the hospital is "good".
