N&N Hospital commended for obstetrics trainingpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 24 October 2017
The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is one of the top 10 performing trusts in the country for obstetrics training.
Each year, around 6,000 babies are born at the hospital which provides training for speciality doctors across a wide range of maternity services, including ante- and post-natal care.
At any one time, the NNUH has an average of 15 speciality trainees working within obstetrics and gynaecology.
The commendation comes from anonymous feedback from trainee doctors submitted to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, external (RCOG).
Dr David Booth, chief of division for Women and Children's Services at the NNUH says they take their responsibility for training the next generation of doctors very seriously.
