As police announce they will be staying at the scene for some time, this is what we know about the four deaths in Costessey.
As we reported earlier, Norfolk Police visited the address late last year.
The force confirmed this was in relation to a missing person case on 14 December.
Norfolk Police has said there will be more patrols in the local community this weekend.
Det Ch Insp Burgess said he recognises the "shock and upset" the news will cause and urged anyone with concerns to speak to officers.
Det Ch Insp Chris Burgess said: “We can confirm all four were found with injuries and post-mortem examinations will be held in due course to establish cause of death."
Police tonight revealed the 36-year-old woman who died did not live at the home.
“The man and two children lived at the address, but the woman involved was visiting and didn’t live at the property," Det Ch Insp Burgess confirmed.
Det Ch Insp Burgess earlier said that officers, including forensic teams, would be in the area for "a considerable time".
"We want get this absolutely right and the way we get it right is being detailed, accurate and taking our time to do so," he said
Det Ch Insp Burgess said the force is conducting a "thorough investigation".
Although police believe this is an "isolated incident", he said he was keeping an open mind.
"I would stress to the community, let's be very aware of what we share on social media without confirmed information.
"We don't want to cause any undue distress or give false information that might actually hamper the investigation, rather than support it," he said.
More from Caitlyn, 17, who lives nearby and said the news was "very scary".

Children are now returning home from school, some in cars and others on foot. People are also starting to come home from work.
Meanwhile, forensic specialists in white suits can still be seen going in and out of the house.
Amid the hive of activity police officers are trying to keep warm inside the cordon while the middle of Allan Bedford Crescent remains sealed off.
Our reporters have spoken to multiple neighbours in the Queen's Hills area, all of whom have spoken of their shock at the deaths.
They have said the estate in Costessey, near Norwich, is quiet and not somewhere where they often see police activity.
A local councillor has said Queen's Hills is a "close knit" and "lovely community", adding to the sense of shock.
Caitlyn, 17, says it's been "scary" and left the whole estate "worrying".
Daniel Seeley said: "Things like this don't happen on this estate", adding he was "absolutely shocked".
Following the press conference with Det Ch Insp Chris Burgess, more details about the people found dead have emerged.
Norfolk Police has confirmed that officers will remain on scene for a "considerable time".
Officers were called to the same house in December as part of a missing persons inquiry.
Det Ch Insp Burgess says the force will now look back on that incident.
A knife found in nearby woodland is not thought to be linked to the deaths, Det Ch Insp Burgess said.
He has confirmed that officers are not currently investigating any other locations.
We have heard from police that of the four people who died, three lived at the address and another was there "non permanently".
Police confirm they won't reveal the identity of those who have died at this stage.
Norfolk Police said "two young girls", a 45-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were found dead in the house.
Norfolk Police has confirmed a man, woman and two children from the same family were found dead in the house in Costessey in Norfolk earlier today.
Det Ch Insp Chris Burgess says formal identification is still to take place.
