Work, set to take over a year, to put in new pavements, street light and trees into St Giles Street, Fish Street and St Giles Square will begin later this month.
The £3m scheme will start on Monday, 22 February, but will pause between October this year and the end of January so businesses are not disrupted by roadworks over the Christmas period.

I've been out in Daventry District to talk to people about plans to collect general waste - that's put in a black wheelie bin - once every three weeks from 2018. These are the answers to the most common questions I've been asked...
What about nappies? Councillors are considering a separate nappy collection
The recycling flies all over the street - what are they going to do about that?Open boxes would be replaced by one wheelie bin for all recycling. This would be collected once a fortnight
What about food waste? This would stay a weekly collection
And what about garden waste? This would become optional, but you would have to pay - potentially £35

As yet no planning application has yet been submitted, but it is possible it will contain plans for housing and retail units as well as the church.
