    Det Insp Mick Graham from the East Midlands Major Crime Unit told BBC Radio Northampton there had been "a number of inquiries" into the murder of David Brickwood in Northampton in September last year. 

    Tonight a fresh appeal for information will be made on the BBC Crimewatch programme and Dep Insp Graham said police would like the drivers of two Ford Focuses seen in the area on the night of the fatal attack on the 74-year-old to come forward.

    Daventry District Council, external is looking at introducing black bin collections for general waste every three weeks when a new waste contract comes into force in 2018.

    The councillor in charge of bin collections says things have changed in the seven years since the the current contract was signed.

    I've found that illegal performance-enhancing drugs are being advertised on Facebook, along with branded merchandise.

    I manage to purchase a banned steroid from a man based in Northampton, which was found to contain a second steroid not named on the label.

    The seller denied selling the drugs, but I've taken a look at how big this trade is...

    As well as potentially collecting general waste every three weeks a charge of £35 a year could be introduced for garden waste collections in Daventry District from 2018.

    It's one of the ideas that could be included in a consultation on a new waste contract for the district council, which will be discussed on Thursday.

    I've taken a look at what's changed about England under new coach Eddie Jones, and in terms of what England wanted out of the game with Scotland I think they got everything.

    Jones has said he wants a strong set-piece game and he wants a strong, abrasive pack. They delivered that against Scotland. Captain Dylan Hartley's line-outs were brilliant (England only lost one of their 15) and they were clinical.

    The is a Flood Warning for the River Nene, external at Cogenhoe Mill Caravan Site and the Northampton Washland.

    The Environment Agency say heavy rainfall over the weekend has caused levels in the River Nene to rise.

    There is also a flood alert for the Middle Nene between Cogenhoe and Wansford and the River Tove.

    A reconstruction of the murder of a Northampton man will be shown tonight on BBC One's Crimewatch programme.

    David Brickwood, who was 74, died after being attacked in his own home in Lindsay Avenue in the town last September.

    Detectives hope the appeal will encourage new witnesses to come forward.

    Dealers offering illegal performance-enhancing drugs that can cause severe side effects are selling their products via Facebook, the BBC has discovered.

    Prostasia, which has at least two Facebook pages, is one of dozens of online sellers found by the BBCImage source, Facebook

    As part of my investigation I posed as male bodybuilder and purchased the steroid testosterone propionate from Jon Elliott, whose online status says he is based in Northampton.

    The seller, who trades online under his own name, was confronted by Inside Out. He denied selling the drugs, claiming his Facebook account had been hacked.

    Collecting general rubbish just once every three weeks could help increase recycling, according to Daventry District Council.

    Reducing the collection is one idea being considered for a new waste contract that would come into force from 2018.

    On Thursday, councillors will decide whether to start a full consultation on the idea.

    Tonight on BBC One's Crimewatch a fresh appeal will be made for information on the murder of 74-year-old David Brickwood in his home in Northampton in September last year.

    As part of the appeal, there will be a reconstruction and an interview with David's son, Dale Brickwood, who says his family "can't move forward" until the people responsible are caught.

    The roadworks on Mereway in Northampton have overrun because of wet and windy weather over the weekend.

    It means one lane on the westbound carriageway is still closed for line painting. It's expected to re-open fully later today.
